Help build what Richmond deserves

Where your gift goes

We're an all-volunteer organization. No salaries, no offices. In 2025, supporters gave $22,148.52, and $7,500 of it went straight to Richmond-area students as scholarships. The rest funded wreaths at Richmond National Cemetery, community events, and the groundwork for a monument in downtown Richmond.

A gift to Monumental Honor becomes three things: a scholarship in a recipient's name, a remembrance for the fallen, and a foundation stone for the monument to come.

The 250 Campaign

250 people. $250 each. America's 250th year.

This year, America turns 250, and Richmond's story is stitched through all of it, from Powhatan Beaty at New Market Heights to Michael Folland in Vietnam. To mark the semiquincentennial, we're asking 250 people to become Founding Supporters with a gift of $250 before the year ends on December 31, 2026.

Why 250? Because the number ties it all together: 250 years of the nation these nine men served, 250 supporters to carry their legacy forward, $250 to make it real. Together, the 250 will raise $62,500, enough to power our scholarships for years and to fund the serious first steps toward the monument: site work, civic partnership, and design.

As a Founding Supporter, your name becomes part of Monumental Honor's story: permanent recognition on a dedicated page of our website and a participating opportunity in our future Monument itself.
